This masterclass looks at how teacher-librarians in Canada strive to support diversity, particularly in collection development. We will take a deep dive into the Canadian School Libraries Collection Diversity Toolkit, and how one large school district has used the toolkit to guide change.

Speakers
Rebeca Rubio is an educator, teacher librarian, consultant and the District Curriculum Coordinator for Libraries and Information Services in SD38 (Richmond, BC, Canada).
Anita Brooks Kirkland is the Chair of Canadian School Libraries and co-editor of CSL Journal. She is a past president of the Ontario Library Association and the Ontario School Library Association.
